"There's something so marvelous about women comfortable in their own skin." - No kidding. When you are around someone who gets her imperfections and is not stunted by them, it is marvelous. I've heard a few men say there's nothing sexier than a woman who has humble confidence. And I think this is basically what they're talking about.
"I suspect God is more glorified in a humble room of earnest worshipers than a massive production designed to sound "relevant" to the listeners but no longer relevant to God. When the worship of God turns into a 'worship experience' we have derailed as the body of Christ."
"Every time I buy another shirt I don't need or a seventh pair of shoes for my daughter, I redirect my powerful dollar to the pockets of consumerism, fueling my own greed and widening the gap. Why? Because I like it. Because those are cute. Because I want that.
Those thoughts burden me holistically, but the trouble is, I can rationalize them individually. This micro-justification easily translates to nearly every purchase I've made. Alone, each item is reduced to an easy explanation, a harmless transaction. But all together, we've spent enough to irrevocably change the lives of a hundred thousand people."
-Such convicting words.
